Staff map
SwissWorkTime offers a feature that allows you to view, in real time on a map, the whereabouts of teams at various work locations: construction sites, break rooms, company vehicles, or any other location defined by the company. This tracking is based on data entered by employees, in particular using NFC tags placed directly at these locations: on arrival, the employee scans the tag to indicate their presence on site. On departure, another scan is carried out, enabling the map to display employees’ arrivals and departures at their various workplaces.
If you do not use NFC tags to clock in at your clients’ premises, the information entered in the last few hours will also appear on the map. If an employee enters the activity manually, it will appear at the site or project location.
Important: the employee is not tracked via geolocation. It is not the person who is continuously monitored, but the location itself, which is fitted with an NFC tag. The employee voluntarily indicates that they are on site by scanning this tag, thereby ensuring privacy whilst providing a clear overview of how work is organised.
Search and View
The staff map allows for two types of search:
- By employee: find out instantly whether a member of staff is actually at their assigned location.
- By project or site: see at a glance which employees are on a particular site.
Live traffic updates
An additional layer of information displays real-time traffic conditions, enabling managers to anticipate delays, adjust team deployment according to traffic conditions and optimise journeys between different construction sites.
A tool for organisation, not for surveillance
When combined with NFC time tracking, the staff card provides managers with a clear and instant overview of how teams are organized in the field, while respecting employees’ freedom and privacy.
